Aransas Bay - Aransas, TX Inshore Report on 8th Jun, 2026

Boys decided they wanted to make a quick wade before heading back home, so we grabbed a quart of live shrimp and hit a local spot that’s always produced for us. About ten minutes into the wade, my son hooked into a solid 26" trout sitting in a big open sand pocket between the grass. We finished the morning with 2 reds, 2 drum, and 3 trout. Not a bad little wade with my boys and a great way to wrap up the trip.

Got a call from some family friends that wanted to take their kids on a little half day trip while they were visiting Rockport for Spring Break. Little windy but we still managed to catch three slot reds and two keeper trout, Justin did catch a 25" Trout that he was able to get a pict as she swam away. Thanks for booking guys.!

Great day on the water pre-fishing for the Saltwater Legend tournament had two fish go over 8 pounds and a handful of fish over 6 pounds. Fish and sand pockets on a grass flat in knee deep water throwing darker colored lures was a key.

Ingleside Cove - Nueces, TX Inshore Report on 29th Jan, 2026

Great day on the water despite super‐low tides, high pressure, and clear blue skies. My repeat clients downsized their lure selection, and we targeted potholes in the grass flats. The adjustments paid off, we had a few personal bests on this trip, including a big trout weighing 8 lbs. We were able to get a picture of her on the Bogas; the boat was too far away for an accurate length, but she was pushing the 30" mark. The big red measured right at 28" and weighed 9.4 lbs. Excellent wading by the crew, and I’m looking forward to having them back next month.

Had two guys book a full‐day wade‐fishing trip for the second time. We decided to give Nueces Bay a shot after a strong front pushed through, and one of my clients wanted to explore some new water. The move paid off — we caught several tournament‐quality reds along with a handful of trout in the 6–8 lb range. Great trip, and big thanks to my repeat clients for another solid day on the water.

Group of three guys wade‐fishing today. With super low tides and high pressure, the trout bite was a little tough, but the reds were everywhere. We finished the day with a full three‐man limit of redfish, with plenty more released.

Afternoon freed up so I decided to go fish the late minor feeding. Lots of bait present but fish just werent that hungry. Downsized lured to Lil Johns due to high pressure & that was the ticket to a great afternoon. Tides are still up, fishing sand pockets.

Redfish Bay - Nueces, TX Inshore Report on 25th May, 2025

Had a group from San Antonio that came down for a day of wade fishing. Took us a while to find some bait, but once we found bait the trout bite was on fire during the major feeding period. All fish were caught on MirrorLure lil johns in the Molting & Golden Bream fishing a grassy bottom in the 2 - 4 ft of water.

Made a quick wade with the boys close to the house since winds are cranking out of the south at 30+ mph. Got them a quart of live shrimp, and they went to town throwing live shrimp under popping corks. Got into a school of black drum and found a few reds mixed in the group. Decided to keep a few for the frying pan.

Had a buddy want to bring his kids down to do an afternoon trip while in the area for a sporting event. Went out and fished the late minor & loaded up with 2 limits of reds & a few trout 5 minutes from the boat ramp. Fish were all caught on Lil johns & Down South Lures.

Had a returning group of waders that were looking to target big trout. We weren't able to get onto the big trout but did find a big mess of reds in the 24" - 32" range. Bite started prior to the major feeding & was on fire for almost 45 minutes. All fish were caught on Mirro Lil Johns, Coastal Brew baits & Down South Lures.
